About the Opportunity

A global institutional investor-backed renewable energy platform is looking to hire a Head of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) to lead its planning and performance management function in India. The organization operates a large portfolio of solar, wind, hybrid, and battery energy storage projects and is focused on scaling its renewable capacity significantly over the next few years.

Role Overview

The Head of FP&A will lead the financial planning function and ensure that the company's long-term growth strategy is supported by strong financial discipline and capital allocation.

Key Responsibilities

FP&A

  • Lead the development and management of the organization's 510 year long-range financial plan, aligning generation targets with capital requirements and funding strategy
  • Evaluate internal investment opportunities and ensure new projects meet required financial return thresholds including IRR and NPV
  • Partner with the business development team to provide financial inputs for competitive bidding processes across central and state renewable tenders
  • Lead monthly and quarterly business reviews with senior leadership and the Board, providing insights on business performance
  • Analyze operational asset performance across different regions and identify areas for operational or financial improvement

Investor Relations

  • Support the CFO in engagements with institutional investors, rating agencies, and external stakeholders
  • Prepare investor presentations, financial updates, and performance reports for internal and external stakeholders
  • Support fundraising initiatives by providing financial analytics and portfolio performance insights
  • Ensure financial models and projections are diligence-ready for capital raising initiatives including debt financing, equity investment, or potential public market transactions

Candidate Profile

  • CA or MBA (Finance) from a top-tier institution; CFA qualification is an advantage
  • 15+ years of experience in FP&A or corporate finance within renewable energy, infrastructure, power, or other capital-intensive sectors
  • Experience working with organizations operating through multiple SPVs or subsidiary structures
  • Strong financial modelling, portfolio analytics, and capital allocation capabilities
  • Ability to engage with senior leadership and present financial insights to board-level stakeholders
