Head - Equity Research - BFSI

Job Summary:

Responsible for delivering high-quality equity research including earnings notes, company and sector reports, and market updates. The role includes industry interaction, management meetings, stock/sector screening per research plan, PR/article inputs, portfolio EAS reviews, dashboard creation, team mentoring, and maintaining relationships with financial advisors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Produce earnings notes, company reports, and sector reports as per the research plan.
• Conduct industry interactions and management meetings; network with sell-side/buy-side analysts.
• Perform stock and sector screening and provide recommendations aligned to the research calendar.
• Contribute inputs for PR initiatives and write article inputs when required.
• Prepare daily market updates and morning briefs.
• Perform EAS (External Advisory/Allocation) reviews for portfolios.
• Build and maintain research dashboards and performance trackers.
• Mentor and lead the research team; oversee people management and knowledge sharing.
• Maintain and nurture relationships with financial advisors and other stakeholders.

Qualification Requirements:

• MBA (Finance) or CFA, or 8+ years of experience in equity research.

Personal Attributes:

• Strong analytical mindset with a genuine passion for research.
• Ability to correlate macro and micro activities to business outcomes and market indices (e.g., GDP, BoP → Sensex/Nifty movements).
• Excellent communication, presentation, and reporting skills.
• Sound knowledge of business and industry research methodologies.
