Job Description: Head – Design & Execution (Luxury Interiors)
Location: Lonavala, Maharashtra (On-site)
Reporting To: Head of Department (HOD)
Work Schedule: 6 days a week
Role Overview
The Head of Design & Execution (Interiors) is responsible for leading the end-to-end lifecycle of luxury interior projects across Della's hospitality, villa, and high-end residential portfolios. This role demands an expert balance of premium aesthetic sensibility and aggressive site execution. You will guide internal design teams and oversee on-site engineering, contracting, and vendor teams to deliver projects from concept mobilization to final handover, ensuring they meet Della's signature luxury brand standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Design Management & Quality Control
- Aesthetic Leadership: Lead and oversee the conceptualization, layouts, mood boards, material palettes, and 3D visualizations for high-end hospitality and villa interiors.
- Technical Review: Strictly review working drawings, Bill of Quantities (BOQs), and technical specifications for accuracy, construction feasibility, and structural integrity.
- Brand Standards: Ensure all designs align perfectly with Della's unique luxury identity while incorporating functional, durable elements required for heavy resort operations.
- Site Execution & Project Management
- End-to-End Mobilization: Drive site operations from initial layout marking and structural modifications up to final finishing and handover.
- Timeline Accountability: Prepare, track, and enforce micro-schedules, project timelines, and deliverable tracking using project management software.
- On-Site Supervision: Conduct frequent, hands-on site visits to monitor progress, supervise site engineers, and solve complex on-site execution challenges in real time.
- Vendor, Procurement & Material Management
Job Expectations
- Premium Sourcing: Collaborate directly with high-end luxury material suppliers and manufacturers across furniture, custom lighting, specialized hardware, and premium finishes.
- Vendor Management: Identify, onboard, and manage specialized contractors, fabricators, and MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) consultants.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct strict factory and workshop inspections to check the quality of custom workmanship and materials before they reach the site.
- Budgeting & Financial Control
- Cost Estimation: Draft comprehensive, precise project budgets and cost estimates.
- Expense Control: Track ongoing project expenses, mitigate raw material wastage, and aggressively manage change orders or design variations to keep projects within approved budgets.
- Team Leadership & Stakeholder Management
- Cross-Functional Sync: Act as the primary point of contact between senior management, internal design studios, procurement, and on-site contractors.
- Mentorship: Lead and upskill a dynamic team of interior designers, draughtsmen, site engineers, and project coordinators.
Candidate Requirements
Minimum Qualifications & Experience
- Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or Civil Engineering.
- Experience: 8 to 15 years of rich experience specifically in luxury interior design and site execution. A strong portfolio showcasing high-end hospitality (5-star hotels/resorts), luxury villas, or premium townships is a must.
Technical & Soft Skills
- Software Mastery: High proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, V-Ray, MS Project, or advanced Excel.
