Job Requirements
Job Purpose:
To
lead the commercial function for Jakson's DEB business by ensuring effective credit control, billing governance, bank guarantee (BG) management, and receivables monitoring. The role enables strong alignment between sales, execution, and plant teams while driving financial discipline to support business profitability and ROCE improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage customer credit terms, ensuring timely invoicing, cash flow, and payment follow-ups.
- Approve credit limits and terms for customers based on risk assessment.
- Monitor BG expirations and take necessary steps for renewal or claim.
- Ensure proper documentation and approval for BG-related activities.
- Coordinate the billing process across various teams for timely dispatch.
- Regularly review AR management processes to avoid delays in collection.
- Vet and approve all sales expenses including third-party commissions.
- Approve customer refunds and ensure they are processed within company policies.
- Monitor the commercial team's performance metrics, including BG status, payments, and dispatch clearance. Lead the monthly and quarterly business review meetings.
- Act as a liaison between sales and commercial teams for project completion.
- Regularly communicate with internal teams to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Master's degree in Economics; PGDM in Marketing preferred
- Experience: 1218 years in commercial roles in engineering/manufacturing sector
- Prior exposure to DG Sets, BOP execution, or infrastructure projects
