Vedanta's Sesa Goa Business caters to the requirements of the Iron & Steel supply chain. We produce Iron Ore, Pig Iron and Coke. It comprises of Iron Ore Goa, Iron Ore Karnataka, Iron Ore Odisha, Value Added Business, Sesa Cement and Sesa Coke - Gujarat & Maharashtra. The Sector has a unique competitive advantage of having operations in 5 States.

The Value-Added Business is now marching into its new phase of growth by setting up a Ductile Iron Plant at Amona Goa with Capacity of 0.42 MTPA that will make VAB a $1Bn revenue business and further strengthen its presence into the Iron and Steel Industry.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Ensures full compliance with safety protocols, statutory requirements, and environmental norms while maintaining strict housekeeping and hazardcontrol practices in the casting and melting areas.
• Leads endtoend melting and casting operations to maintain metallurgical control of base iron and ensure consistency in pipe quality as per DIP standards.
• Drives reduction in metal losses, optimizes power and fuel consumption, and improves metal yield through strong process discipline.
• Ensures >98% equipment availability by coordinating with maintenance, operations, and other stakeholders for timely interventions.
• Aligns production capacities with production planning and dispatch schedules while monitoring cost per tonne and implementing costefficiency improvements.
• Leads, develops, and manages shift teams and contract manpower, ensuring adequate skill levels, discipline, and compliance with all standards.
• Drives capability building through skill upgradation, succession planning, and performance accountability for all workforce levels.
• Leads process and technology improvement by implementing automation, digital monitoring systems, and best practices in melting and casting operations.

Qualification & Experience:

BE/BTech Metallurgy / Mechanical Engineering with 10+ Years of Experience specific to Ductile Iron Pipe Industry
