Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

  • Define and implement the airport's analytics strategy aligned with business objectives.
  • Drive a data-driven culture across the organization, ensuring stakeholders use insights for decision-making.
  • Identify opportunities for revenue growth, cost optimization, and operational efficiencies through advanced analytics.

Data & Analytics Governance

  • Establish and maintain enterprise-wide data management, governance, and quality frameworks.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (DGCA, ICAO, IATA, data privacy norms).
  • Oversee integration of multiple data sources (passenger, airline, concessionaire, operations, digital touchpoints).

Operational & Commercial Analytics

  • Build predictive models for passenger traffic forecasting, queue management, resource allocation, and capacity planning.
  • Develop dashboards and KPIs for operational performance (turnaround times, OTP, baggage delivery, security throughput).
  • Provide insights on commercial performance retail sales, F&B, parking, advertising, real estate.
  • Support aeronautical revenue management (tariffs, slots, airline performance).

Customer & Experience Analytics

  • Implement passenger segmentation, journey mapping, and sentiment analysis using survey, social media, and digital channels.
  • Recommend personalization strategies to enhance customer satisfaction, loyalty, and non-aero revenues.

Technology & Innovation

  • Evaluate and deploy advanced analytics platforms, BI tools, and AI/ML models.
  • Partner with IT to ensure scalability, cybersecurity, and integration with airport systems (AODB, ERP, CRM, IoT, biometrics).
  • Drive innovation in smart airport initiatives, digital twins, and predictive maintenance.

Leadership & Team Management

  • Build and lead a high-performing analytics team (data scientists, data engineers, BI specialists).
  • Partner with business heads (Aero, Non-Aero, CSD, Finance, HR) to translate business needs into analytics solutions.
  • Foster continuous learning and adoption of emerging technologies.

Qualifications

Qualifications & Experience

  • Degree in Data Science, Analytics, Statistics, Engineering, or related field.
  • 10-12 years of experience in analytics, with at least 3+ years in a leadership role.
  • Experience in aviation, airports, transportation, or large-scale infrastructure businesses preferred.
  • Proven track record of implementing enterprise-wide analytics programs and delivering measurable impact.
