Description

We are seeking a skilled HCC Coder to join our team in Omega Healthcare. The ideal candidate will be responsible for reviewing clinical documentation and assigning appropriate HCC codes to ensure accurate reporting of patient diagnoses and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze clinical documentation to ensure accurate coding and capture of all relevant diagnoses and procedures.
• Assign appropriate HCC (Hierarchical Condition Category) codes based on the ICD-10-CM coding guidelines.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify documentation and ensure compliance with coding standards.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of coding guidelines, regulations, and best practices in HCC coding.
• Conduct audits and quality checks on coding accuracy to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Skills and Qualifications

• 1-10 years of experience in medical coding, specifically in HCC coding.
• Graduation in life sciences is a must.
• Certification in medical coding (e.g., CPC, CCS, or CRC) is preferred.
• Strong understanding of ICD-10-CM coding and CMS guidelines for HCC.
• Proficient in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and medical coding software.
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills for accurate code assignment.
