Job Description

We're Hiring: Harness Systems Engineer

Gurgaon | Full-Time | Core Team

LAT Aerospace | STOL Aircraft

At LAT Aerospace, we're building India's first clean-sheet Short Take-off and Landing (STOL) aircraft designed to unlock access to hundreds of underutilised airstrips and redefine regional air mobility.

We're looking for a Harness Integration Engineer who can design, manufacture, and integrate the complete electrical wiring and interconnect systems of the aircraft - from power distribution to avionics data links.

What you'll do
  • Design, route, and integrate aircraft wiring harnesses for avionics, power, and communication systems.
  • Define wire types, shielding, connectors, and protection schemes as per aerospace standards.
  • Create and maintain 2D/3D harness models, schematics, and installation drawings.
  • Manage harness assembly, testing, and validation for flight hardware.
  • Lead routing through aircraft structure to ensure maintainability, segregation, and EMI/EMC compliance.
  • Coordinate with avionics, structures, and systems teams to align harness design with installation constraints.
  • Supervise harness fabrication partners and ensure quality assurance to AS9100 / DO-160 / MIL-STD standards.
  • Support aircraft integration, troubleshooting, and flight test readiness.

What we're looking for
  • 3+ years of experience in aircraft wiring harness design, installation, or integration.
  • Proficiency with harness design tools (CATIA Electrical, SolidWorks Electrical, Capital, or equivalent).
  • Strong understanding of connector selection, shielding, grounding, and signal routing.
  • Experience with aircraft-level documentation - wiring diagrams, interconnect lists, and installation drawings.
  • Familiarity with avionics interfaces (CAN, ARINC-429, Ethernet, RS-422/485).
  • Hands-on experience with crimping, continuity testing, and harness validation.
  • Knowledge of aerospace wiring standards (AS50881, IPC/WHMA-A-620, DO-160).

Why join LAT
  • Own end-to-end harness systems that make aircraft hardware come alive.
  • Be part of the founding integration team taking designs from CAD to flight test.
  • Work at the intersection of avionics, structures, and systems integration.
  • Join a startup where your work directly contributes to real flight missions.
