Role: Hardware Technical Lead
Experience:8-10 Years
We are seeking a highly skilled Hardware Technical Lead to lead the design, development, and execution of hardware systems for embedded projects in the automotive and industrial domains. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in Schematic Design, PCB layout, prototyping, and system validation. This role also involves working closely with customers, cross-functional teams, and manufacturing partners to deliver reliable and production-ready hardware solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the hardware design and development of embedded electronic systems for automotive and industrial applications.
- Create and review Schematics, PCB layouts, and component selections ensuring compliance with design standards and EMC/EMI requirements.
- Drive end-to-end project execution from concept, design, prototyping, testing, and validation to production handoff.
- Collaborate with mechanical, firmware, and software teams to ensure hardware-software integration and system-level performance.
- Work with vendors and manufacturing partners for PCB fabrication, assembly, and prototype builds.
- Prepare project proposals, technical documentation, and cost/time estimations for new hardware development projects.
- Conduct design reviews, risk assessments, and validation testing (including DVT, PVT).
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior hardware engineers.
- Stay updated with emerging electronic components, design tools, and automotive/industrial standards.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- 810 years of experience in hardware design and development for embedded systems.
- Strong expertise in Schematic capture (e.g., Altium Designer, OrCAD, KiCad) and PCB layout design for multi-layer boards.
- Hands-on experience with microcontrollers, sensors, power management circuits, and communication interfaces (CAN, LIN, RS485, Ethernet, etc.).
- Knowledge of automotive and industrial standards (ISO 16750, AEC-Q100, EMI/EMC compliance).
- Experience in hardware bring-up, debugging, and use of test instruments (oscilloscope, logic analyzer, etc.).
- Proven ability to lead projects, prepare technical proposals, and work with cross-functional teams and external partners.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
