Job Title: Hardware Engineer
Job Description:
The Hardware Engineer will be responsible for the design, development, testing, and production of hardware components and systems. This role involves working closely with other engineering disciplines to create innovative solutions that meet product requirements. The Hardware Engineer will analyze and troubleshoot hardware issues, collaborate on system integration, and ensure that all designs comply with industry standards and safety regulations. The successful candidate will also participate in technical documentation, testing procedures, and assist in bringing prototypes to production.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop hardware components and systems based on product specifications and requirements.
- Conduct feasibility studies and simulations to assess potential designs and their performance.
- Collaborate with software engineers to ensure seamless integration of hardware and software components.
- Perform testing and validation of new hardware designs, including troubleshooting and problem resolution.
- Create detailed technical documentation, including specifications, test plans, and user manuals.
- Work with manufacturing teams to transition designs into production while ensuring quality and reliability.
- Stay updated on the latest technological advances in hardware engineering and incorporate best practices into projects.
Skills and Tools Required:
- Proficiency in hardware design software such as Altium Designer, Cadence, or similar tools.
- Strong knowledge of digital and analog circuit design, embedded systems, and signal processing.
- Understanding of communication protocols such as I2C, SPI, UART, and Ethernet.
- Solid debugging and troubleshooting skills to resolve hardware-related issues efficiently.
- Experience with version control systems such as Git for managing design iterations.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
- Strong communication skills for presenting design concepts and collaborating across teams.
Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications in hardware design or embedded systems are a plus.
Experience:
- 3+ years of experience in hardware engineering or a related field is preferred.
