Join Lam as a Mechanical Hardware Designer and create innovative designs that improve costs, reliability, and advancements in next-generation products. You'll apply digital design, CAD software, and interpret engineering drawings to implement designs that solve material and manufacturing process challenges. Your expertise contributes to the reliability and innovation, showcasing Lam's commitment to cutting-edge technology.
What You'll Do
Primary Responsibilities:
- Create CAD assemblies & BOM for design changes / modifications
- Work on implementing multiple engineering changes through Change orders
- Recommend engineering solutions for simple to medium complex Problem reports
- Identify the interferences in CAD design and provide alternative solutions
- Create/review drawings for Medium complex Sheetmetal & machined parts, welded structures & complex assemblies.
- Create assembly/test procedures, rework instructions etc.
- Work collaboratively with Product Group counterparts in India & U.S
Who We're Looking For
Mandatory Skills Required to Perform the Job:
- BE in Mechanical / Production / Automobile / Induatrial engineering with 2 to 5 Years of relevant Exp in Design & Drafting
- Proficient in 3D CAD modelling & assembly management using Creo & Team center
- Experience working in BoM management activities
- Knowledge on performing root cause analysis for BOM related issues
- Knowledge in Mechanical hardware (fasteners) and OEM components selection
- Knowledge on welding, part cleaning, surface finish, etc.
- Experience in using basic GD&T
Preferred Qualifications
Desirable Skills:
- Experience in various fabrication methods (Sheetmetal & Machining)
- Able to present simple design concepts to peers and management in a professional and effective way
- Knowledge in Engineering Change Management Process, SAP, PLM etc.
- Knowledge on MS office software's like MS Excel, MS Word & MS PowerPoint
- Exposure to Auto CAD
- Good verbal and written communication skills

Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. On-site Flex you'll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. Virtual Flex you'll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
