About The Opportunity
Healthcare Private hospital & maternity services sector in Chhattisgarh, focused on delivering comprehensive maternal and women's health care across inpatient, outpatient, and surgical settings. We are recruiting an experienced on-site Consultant to lead obstetric and gynaecological services at our facility in Kawardha.
Role Title: Consultant Obstetrician & Gynaecologist
Role & Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient obstetric & gynaecology care including antenatal clinics, labour ward management, and postnatal follow-up.
- Perform elective and emergency surgical procedurescesarean sections and gynaecologic surgeriesensuring adherence to surgical safety protocols.
- Manage high-risk pregnancies and obstetric emergencies (PPH, eclampsia, obstructed labour) with timely escalation and multidisciplinary coordination.
- Conduct diagnostic procedures and image-guided assessments including transvaginal ultrasound and fetal monitoring to guide clinical decisions.
- Lead outpatient procedures such as hysteroscopy and minimally invasive interventions; document findings and plan follow-up care.
- Maintain accurate medical records, contribute to quality improvement initiatives, and mentor junior medical staff and nursing teams.

Must-Have (Clinical Skills)
- Cesarean section
- Normal vaginal delivery
- High-risk obstetric management
- Antenatal care
- Transvaginal ultrasound
- Fetal monitoring
Minimum Qualifications
- Postgraduate qualification in Obstetrics & Gynaecology (MS / DGO or equivalent)
- Valid medical registration with the Indian Medical Council or respective State Medical Council
- Proven clinical experience managing obstetric and gynaecological cases in a hospital setting (preference for prior on-site consultant roles)
- Willingness to work on-site in Kawardha, Chhattisgarh and participate in rostered emergency cover
Preferred
- Experience with hysteroscopy
- Experience with laparoscopy
- Training in neonatal resuscitation / emergency obstetric care courses
