About The Opportunity
A 50bed multispeciality secondarycare hospital operating in the healthcare sector (primary & secondary care) in Bodeli, DistChhotaudepur, Gujarat, is recruiting a dynamic Consultant Obstetrician & Gynaecologist. The role focuses on providing endtoend women's health servicesoutpatient, inpatient, labour ward, operative deliveries and basic gynaecologic surgerywithin a growing community hospital setting.
Role & Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive obstetric and gynaecologic care across outpatient, inpatient and labour ward servicesantenatal, intrapartum and postnatal management.
- Perform and lead deliveries including normal vaginal deliveries and Cesarean sections; stabilise and manage obstetric emergencies.
- Provide diagnostic and therapeutic gynaecology services including minor and major gynaecological surgeries as per hospital capability.
- Interpret obstetric and pelvic ultrasound findings and coordinate care with anaesthesia, paediatrics and nursing teams for perioperative and neonatal support.
- Maintain accurate medical records, follow hospital protocols for clinical governance, infection control and quality improvement initiatives.
- Support training and supervision of junior doctors, resident medical staff and nursing personnel to maintain high standards of maternal care.
Skills & Qualifications
MustHave (skills & credentials)
- Valid medical registration to practise in Gujarat
- MBBS with DGO / MS (Obstetrics & Gynaecology) or equivalent (recognized qualification)
- Proven competence in emergency obstetric care and intrapartum management
- Ability to perform Cesarean sections and common gynaecological procedures
- Experience with antenatal, postnatal care and management of common gynaecologic conditions
- Strong recordkeeping, ability to follow clinical protocols and participate in audits
Preferred
- Prior experience in a multispeciality hospital or district hospital setting
- Basic laparoscopy or operative hysteroscopy experience (advantageous)
- Willingness to participate in community outreach and maternal health programmes
