Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Senior SAP Basis Consultant to lead installation, upgrade, migration, and support activities in a complex SAP landscape.
The Current Landscape Involves
Source : ECC 6.0 on Windows
Target : S/4HANA on RHEL (Linux)
Database : SAP HANA (Source & Target)
The ideal candidate should have deep hands-on expertise in SAP Basis administration, HANA database management, and Linux-based SAP environments, with strong troubleshooting capabilities across ABAP and Java stacks.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead SAP system installations, upgrades, and migrations (ECC to S/4HANA)
- Perform SAP HANA database installation, upgrade, patching, and performance tuning
- Manage SAP systems in on-premise environments
- Provide advanced troubleshooting across :
- SAP ABAP stack
- SAP Java stack
- HANA database
- Handle system refreshes, client copies, kernel upgrades, and patch management
- Configure and maintain Linux (RHEL) environments for SAP workloads
- Support system monitoring, performance optimization, and stability improvements
- Collaborate with functional and technical teams during migration and transformation projects
- Participate in rotational and off-hours support when required
Mandatory Skills
- Strong expertise in SAP ABAP and JAVA troubleshooting
- Hands-on experience in SAP installation and upgrade projects
- Deep experience with SAP HANA database installation, upgrades, and troubleshooting
- Strong proficiency in Linux (RHEL) for SAP Basis administration
- Extensive experience managing on-premise SAP landscapes
- Experience in ECC to S/4HANA migration environments
Good-to-Have Skills
- Knowledge of Sybase and MaxDB
- Familiarity with SAP Solution Manager (basic configuration)
- Experience with Application & Database Clustering
- Hands-on exposure to :
- SLT
- SDA
- SDI
- SAP BTP
- Experience with IBP
- Familiarity with SAP Cockpit tools
Ideal Candidate Profile
- 10+ years of SAP Basis experience in complex enterprise landscapes
- Strong problem-solving mindset with the ability to handle critical production issues
- Experience working in migration or transformation programs
- Comfortable working in flexible shift environments
- Able to operate independently in high-availability systems
