Job Description - Guidewire PolicyCenter Rating Developer
We are looking for a skilled
Guidewire PolicyCenter (PC) Rating Developer with strong experience in designing and implementing rating logic within the Guidewire ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement rating logic in Guidewire PolicyCenter
- Work extensively on:
- Rating Engine configuration
- Rate books, worksheets, and pricing algorithms
- Product Model components (coverages, modifiers, pricing rules)
- Customize rating logic using Gosu scripting
- Collaborate with business teams to understand pricing requirements and translate them into technical solutions
- Perform unit testing and support system/integration testing cycles
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to rating and pricing calculations
- Participate in design discussions, code reviews, and deployment activities
- Ensure adherence to Guidewire standards and best practices
Required Skills & Experience:
- Strong hands-on experience in Guidewire PolicyCenter Rating
- Expertise in:
- Rating Engine configuration
- Gosu programming
- Product Model (especially rating-related components)
- Solid understanding of P&C Insurance domain
- Experience working on Policy lifecycle (Quote Bind Issue)
- Good knowledge of data model extensions and business rules
- Familiarity with Agile (Scrum / SAFe) methodologies
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Experience with Guidewire Cloud / Digital (JDP)
- Knowledge of Guidewire BillingCenter or ClaimCenter
- Experience in rating optimization or pricing strategy implementation
- Exposure to North American insurance market
- Experience in Guidewire upgrades (e.g., GW10 / Palisade)
- Guidewire certification
