BlitzenX is looking for a hands-on Guidewire Data Migration Specialist who owns the end-to-end migration of legacy Policy data into Guidewire PolicyCenter. This is not an advisory role. This is a delivery role for someone who has executed large-scale migrations, understands Guidewire internals, and can lead the migration track with authority.
You will be accountable for planning, configuring, executing, optimizing, and stabilizing Policy data migrations using Guidewire Policy Migration Tool (PMT) while enforcing Guidewire standards and delivery discipline.
Responsibilities- Own and lead the Policy data migration workstream from design through production loads.
- Configure, test, execute, and troubleshoot Guidewire Policy Migration Tool (PMT) for data loads into Guidewire PolicyCenter.
- Translate migration business requirements into clear technical designs, user stories, acceptance criteria, and estimates.
- Analyze complex legacy data models (mainframe and non-mainframe) and drive accurate mapping to the Guidewire InsuranceSuite data model.
- Manage the full data load lifecycle:
- Pre-load validation
- Execution of migration jobs
- Post-load reconciliation and verification
- Identify and resolve data quality defects, load failures, reconciliation gaps, and performance issues without escalation dependency.
- Optimize migration configurations and processes to handle high data volumes while meeting aggressive SLAs.
- Work closely with:
- Business Analysts and Data Analysts
- Legacy system SMEs
- ETL developers
- Guidewire configuration and integration teams
- QA teams
- Provide technical leadership to offshore delivery teams, ensuring output aligns with Guidewire best practices and BlitzenX delivery standards.
- Coordinate with PMO and delivery leadership when technical direction or corrective action is required.
- Remain hands-on at all times configuration, troubleshooting, validation, and execution are part of the role.
- Operate effectively in small, high-velocity Agile teams with minimal supervision.
- Take ownership, move fast, and prioritize customer outcomes over comfort.
Required Qualifications- 5+ years of hands-on Guidewire PolicyCenter experience in delivery roles.
- Proven experience using Policy Migration Tool (PMT) in real project environments.
- Demonstrated success delivering large-scale data migrations from mainframe or complex legacy systems into Guidewire.
- Strong understanding of:
- Guidewire data model
- Migration patterns
- Data validation and reconciliation strategies
- Ability to independently diagnose and resolve migration and performance issues.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience.
- 7+ years overall experience in delivery, implementation, or consulting roles.
- This role is for professionals who execute, take ownership, and deliver under pressure. If you have only theoretical Guidewire knowledge or limited migration exposure, this role is not for you.
