Growth Product Manager
Fully Remote | Full-time
Our Mission
To change how organizations do work.
Trao is an AI R&D lab for mid-market and enterprise companies. We research, design, build, and deploy software and AI systems.
We've delivered work across industries, including large banks such as CommBank (one of Australia's largest banks), the UK Government, US-based family offices, and numerous VC-backed startups.
Behind the scenes is a team obsessed with over-delivering extremely high-quality work every single day. We are engineering-first, detail-oriented, and focused on solving real business problems through automation that most teams would consider impossible.
We work on very ambitious projects.
Work Style & Expectations
- 6 days a week, 9 hours/day
- Fully remote
- More often than not, you will work beyond 9 hours
- Fast timelines, real deadlines, real ownership
- Daily collaboration with a small, strong team across engineering, research, and client delivery
This role is genuinely demanding. You will be expected to operate across sales, marketing, and product simultaneously -- often on the same day. If you are not deeply passionate about building things and closing things, this role will not be a good fit.
What You'll Do
This is not a traditional product manager role. There is no hand-holding, no large team beneath you, and no playbook handed to you. You will be expected to build the playbook.
- Own GTM from scratch -- research target markets, identify ideal customer profiles, build outbound pipelines, and drive deals from first touch to close
- Do B2B sales -- prospect, qualify, run discovery calls, write proposals, and close contracts with mid-market and enterprise clients
- Write all marketing material -- case studies, one-pagers, cold email sequences, LinkedIn content, website copy, and anything else needed to generate and convert pipeline
- Direct product strategy -- synthesize client feedback, market signals, and internal capabilities into a clear product direction; work directly with engineers to prioritize and ship
- Define and track growth metrics -- own the numbers: pipeline, conversion rates, revenue, retention, and product engagement
- Identify new revenue opportunities -- spot adjacencies, new verticals, and partnership opportunities that others would miss
- Represent Trao externally -- you will be a face of the company to prospects, clients, and the market
What We're Looking For
- You have done B2B sales before and have closed deals
- You can write exceptionally well -- sharp, clear, persuasive copy across formats
- You think in systems: funnels, feedback loops, conversion rates, and leverage points
- You have strong product instincts -- you understand what makes software valuable to a business and can articulate it clearly
- You are comfortable operating without structure -- you create the structure
- High stamina, high standards, and a massive bias toward action
- Familiarity with AI, automation, or enterprise software is a strong plus -- our clients are sophisticated and expect their counterparts to be too
- You are competitive, curious, and deeply motivated by outcomes
What This Role Is Not
This is not a role where you manage campaigns, sit in planning meetings, and report on OKRs. This is a role where you go find the revenue, shape the product around what the market needs, and build the engine that scales Trao's reach. If that sounds exhausting, this is not the right fit.
