Job Description

A Growth Manager for Business Banking develops and executes strategies to drive growth by acquiring new clients, managing existing relationships, and expanding the bank's small business portfolio. Key responsibilities include achieving targets for deposits and assets, leading customer acquisition initiatives, and acting as a point of contact for client needs, while ensuring compliance with banking regulations. This involves collaborating with internal teams, offering various banking solutions, and handling both credit and trade products like Letters of Credit and Cash Credit.

Core responsibilities

  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategies to achieve growth targets for the small business banking portfolio.
  • Client Acquisition: Lead initiatives to attract new small business clients through marketing, outreach, and networking.
  • Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, understanding their needs to serve as a trusted advisor.
  • Portfolio Growth: Increase the profitability of the SBB portfolio by deepening the share of wallet and cross-selling products.
  • Product and Service Delivery: Offer and customize various banking products, including loans, trade finance, and cash management services.
  • Sales and Target Achievement: Meet individual targets for deposits, assets, and other business goals.
  • Internal Coordination: Collaborate with internal teams, such as the credit and operations departments, to ensure smooth client service.
  • Compliance: Ensure all activities comply with banking policies, regulations, and KYC norms.

Required skills and experience

  • Strong sales and client relationship management skills.
  • Knowledge of a wide range of banking products, particularly those relevant to businesses, such as trade finance and credit facilities.
  • Ability to analyze market opportunities and develop strategic plans.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Experience in customer acquisition and lead generation.
  • Ability to work with internal teams and manage client inquiries.
