Unbox Health is on a mission to bring radical transparency to what India consumes.

As India's first ratings platform for packaged foods & health supplements, we independently lab test products, publish unbiased ratings, and help consumers make informed decisions about what they put into their bodies.

In an industry full of noise, we're building clarity - and a category that hasn't existed until now.

The Role & Why It Matters

You're building Unbox Health's organic growth playbook - from scratch. There's no inherited strategy here. No existing playbook to optimise. The Growth & Distribution Lead (Organic) role at Unbox Health is yours to define, build, and own.

That means starting with the channels we know work - search, content, AI discovery - and going beyond them. Community embeds. Referral loops. Distribution deals. Creator partnerships. Wherever there's an audience that could benefit from Unbox Health ratings and doesn't yet, that's your territory.

You'll work directly with the founder. You'll experiment fast, kill what doesn't work, and double down on what does. Over time, you'll build a compounding growth engine that doesn't need a paid ads budget to keep moving.

We have the data & insights. Your job is to make sure the right people find them.

What You'll Own

  • The organic traffic number - own it end to end, week over week
  • SEO - keyword strategy, on-page optimisation, and building out the content library that makes Unbox Health the first result for high-intent health and product queries
  • AI engine presence - making sure Unbox Health is cited when people ask ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude or Gemini about supplements, packaged foods, and product safety
  • Community and distribution - finding the WhatsApp groups, Reddit threads, dietitian networks, gym communities, and online spaces where our audience lives, and getting Unbox Health in front of them
  • Creator partnerships - identifying and building relationships with health, fitness, and nutrition creators who can leverage Unbox Health's data in their content
  • Partnership experiments - e-commerce integrations, co-marketing with aligned brands, collaborations with health platforms, and anything else that earns us reach without spending on ads
  • The growth experiment playbook - a running list of what we've tried, what worked, what didn't, and what's next

This role is equal parts strategy + execution.

Who You Are

You've grown something before - a channel, a product, a community - and you can show us how. You're not looking for a brief to follow. You're looking for a problem to solve.

  • You're genuinely curious about health, nutrition, and consumer behaviour in India - this is a category you find interesting, not just a job title you're applying for
  • You think in distribution - your first instinct on any piece of content or data is who needs to see this and how do we get it to them
  • You're a natural experimenter - you form hypotheses quickly, test them cheaply, and learn from both outcomes
  • You understand SEO well enough to execute it, but you don't see it as the only answer
  • You're good at building relationships - with creators, communities, partners, and anyone else who can help extend our reach
  • You're a strong enough writer to produce content that earns traffic on its own merits
  • You're energised by early-stage ambiguity, not unsettled by it

This role is best suited for someone who enjoys building new growth channels from scratch, not managing existing marketing programs.

What Success Looks Like

In the first 69 months, success in this role looks like:

  • Organic traffic Unbox Health pages is growing consistently - not in spikes, but week on week
  • You've identified 23 non-SEO organic channels that are generating real, measurable traffic
  • Unbox Health is showing up on AI platforms when consumers ask health and product questions
  • We have active ecosystem partnerships where Unbox Health data is being cited regularly
  • The content and SEO library is compounding - more pages ranking, more queries captured over time
  • There's a living growth experiment log that documents what's been tried, what's working, and what's next

Experience

35 years in growth, SEO, content, or partnerships - ideally a combination. We care more about what you've built and the results you can point to than the exact roles you've held. If you've grown organic traffic, built a distribution channel, or found a creative way to reach a new audience without paying for it - that's the experience we're looking for.

A Few Things Worth Knowing

  • This is a hybrid role based in Bangalore. We work closely and move fast - in-person matters to us.
  • You'll work directly with the founder. There's no layer between you and the decisions.
  • We don't have a big ads budget - organic is the strategy, not a fallback. That's a feature, not a bug.
  • We're early stage. Things will change. The best version of this role is one you help define.
