Role Overview
We are hiring one highly driven Growth, Community & Sales Intern to work directly with the founder.
This is not a passive internship.
This is a hands-on execution role with real ownership across:
- Community growth
- Outbound sales
- Content distribution
- User activation
If you want to understand how early-stage SaaS growth actually works - this role will give you real exposure.
What You'll Own
Community & Growth Execution
- Identify high-intent conversations on Reddit, Hacker News, Indie Hackers, GitHub, and similar communities
- Engage meaningfully (no spam) and add value where Needle is relevant
- Distribute blog posts and feature launches organically
- Surface trending problems and recurring pain points
- Track signups and traffic coming from community efforts
- Repurpose blogs into LinkedIn posts, short threads, and founder-focused content
Outbound & Sales Support
- Build a weekly pipeline of qualified founders/startups
- Send personalized outreach (email, LinkedIn, community platforms)
- Book demo calls or discovery calls for the founder
- Follow up with trial users to improve activation
- Track leads, conversations, and follow-ups in a simple CRM sheet
- Capture objections and feedback to improve positioning
This role includes real sales exposure - not just marketing.
Performance Evaluation Metrics
You will be evaluated on measurable execution, not effort alone.
Growth Metrics
- Qualified Conversations Identified (2040/week target)
- Community Engagement Quality (1525 meaningful responses/week)
- Traffic from community sources

- Outreach Volume (50+/week personalized)

Compensation
Stipend: 3,000 8,000 per month
(Determined by ownership level and performance)
Performance Incentives:
- Bonus for booked qualified demos
- Bonus for paid conversions influenced
- Monthly performance review
- Potential transition to a paid Growth Associate role for high performers
