Overview Of Job
GroupM is the world's largest media investment company and are a part of WPP. In fact, we are responsible for one in every three ads you see globally. We are currently looking for a Director - Strategy for the Cinema, Out-Of-Home, Experiential, Rural & Activation practice to join us. In this role, you will be responsible for understanding delivering full-stack strategy insights leveraging your:
- Communication skills both oral and written,
- Capability to create professional power-point-presentations to support your conversations,
- Ability to identify and explore tech and data led opportunities and solutions,
- Critical thinking and analytical skills to go beyond the client brief - including an overview of the client and media landscape.

Reporting of the role
This role reports to: Vice President Head of Strategy and Creative (Cinema and OOH practice).

In This Role, Your Goals Will Be
In three months:
- Developing strategies for West & South Clients.
- Meeting clients in conjunction with the client servicing team to present those strategies directly.
In Six Months
- Take over and be responsible for the full OOH data stack.
- Drive proactive client conversations.
In 12 Months
- Build data models for spend and reach allocation.
- Drive and build the data story for OOH and initiate conversations with partners.
What Your Day Job Looks Like At GroupM
- A lot of time speaking with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Understand the client brief clearly.
- Secondary research online to identify key data points.
- Use syndicated tools to help build insights to address the brief.
- Build professional presentations to support your conversations.
What You'll Bring
- This person has a go-getter attitude; and will work on the best Global and Indian brands present in India, identifying unique out of the box strategy solutions for their campaigns, each time every time. Considering that the team works on over 200+ brands each year the ideal candidate should be able to deliver the best and reset for the next brief often multiple times in a day.
- A collaborator and a peoples person the ideal candidate will typically converse across teams and break down impediments to ensure the best delivery strategy for the client. This would mean working very closely with the CS team, teams across GroupM, liaise with the Creative Teams and sometimes with Trading teams as well.
- Data remains at the heart of this practice and this candidate would Develop insights and be the data repository (evaluation metrics, prepping Indices etc.) for all clients from the perspective of both OOH, Cinema, Experiential, Activations and especially Rural.
Minimum Qualifications
- Ideally Masters / Post Graduate Diploma holder from Tier I institute in relevant fields of Advertising / Communications Management / Account Management / Brand Management with around 8-10 years of work experience ideally handling clients, making presentations, working with data.
- Excellent verbal and written English skills
- Experience and demonstrate comfort with Excel with the ideal candidate showing capability of building insights from data
