About the Team

The LSC team at Navi serves as a strategic partner to the business, ensuring the company's operations align with legal and regulatory frameworks. The team provides comprehensive legal counsel across various domains, including corporate law, regulatory compliance, and risk management. The team oversees corporate governance, ensuring adherence to statutory obligations and facilitating effective board and shareholder engagements. The team proactively manages compliance across multiple regulated sectors, adapting to evolving regulatory landscapes.

About the Role

In this role, you will lead legal advisory for the design, launch and scaling of innovative fintech products, partnering closely with senior business and product stakeholders to enable innovation while ensuring regulatory compliance and clear customer communication. You will build and lead the Product Legal function, drive simplification of customer-facing legal documents, and create scalable legal frameworks that support fast product development. The role also involves overseeing product-related commercial contracting and managing external counsel across key strategic initiatives.

What We Expect From You

• Provide strategic legal guidance to senior stakeholders on the structuring and launch of new products.
• Advise business and product teams on feature enhancements, product modifications and regulatory implications.
• Build and lead a high-performing Product Legal team, setting clear priorities, review mechanisms and delivery standards.
• Translate evolving regulatory developments into practical and implementable product strategies.
• Oversee drafting, negotiation and execution of technology, platform and product-related commercial agreements.
• Partner effectively with cross-functional teams including business, compliance, risk and operations to enable scalable product frameworks.
• Manage external counsel and advisors on high-impact product initiatives and regulatory change programmes.

Must Haves

• 10+ years of post-qualification experience, with significant exposure to fintech, digital lending, payments or technology-driven financial services.
• Demonstrated experience in leading or mentoring legal teams and driving outcomes through strong ownership.
• Strong capability in senior stakeholder engagement, including advising business heads and product leadership.
• Strong commercial judgment, first-principles thinking and ability to operate independently in a high-velocity environment.
• Excellent drafting, negotiation and communication skills (both written and verbal).
