Graduate in commerce or post-graduate (full-time) from an accredited university

Required years of experience -

15+years of previous Order to Cash experience from international Organizations.

General description of the role:

As the Group Manager, Cash Cycle, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and driving the strategy for Aon's global cash cycle function. You will serve as a strategic and visionary leader for a defined cash cycle capability (such as Receivables, Collections, Cash Application, or other cash cycle functions), ensuring it delivers consistent, scalable, and value adding services to both internal and external clients globally

You will lead initiatives to standardize and centralize cash cycle capabilities within our Global Capability Center, driving optimization, efficiency, and best in class performance across your area of accountability. You will collaborate closely with functional leaders, Finance, and Operations teams to ensure alignment with Aon's firm wide strategies, foster innovation, and deliver sustainable performance in support of the organization's commercial risk objectives

Job responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy and roadmap for your area of the global cash cycle function, with a focus on standardization, centralization, scalability, and service quality.
  • Lead the design and operation of cash cycle processes (such as cash application, collections, carrier disbursements, bank reconciliation, data integrity, or other relevant activities) within the Global Capability Center, ensuring seamless execution and effective knowledge management.
  • Act as the enterprise steward for your assigned cash cycle capability, defining the long term vision, operating model, and performance standards that enable high quality service delivery to internal stakeholders and external clients.
  • Translate firm wide strategies and commercial objectives into a clear agenda for your cash cycle capability, ensuring priorities, investments, and outcomes are aligned with Aon's overall business goals.
  • Identify and implement standard methodologies, process improvements, and automation opportunities to optimize performance, enhance data accuracy, and increase operational efficiency.
  • Partner with leaders of adjacent cash cycle capabilities and cross functional customers (including Finance, Accounting, Technology, and Operations) to drive alignment and support enterprise wide goals.
  • Oversee change initiatives within your scope, ensuring clear communication, customer engagement, and successful adoption of new processes, technologies, and ways of working.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress, measure impact, and drive accountability for performance and continuous improvement.
  • Lead the organization from a performance perspective by setting clear objectives and using data driven insights to improve quality, timeliness, client experience, and cost efficiency.
  • Develop a culture of continuous improvement and innovation, encouraging teams to challenge the status quo and accept new ways of working.
  • Ensure that all cash cycle processes under your remit adhere to internal controls, compliance standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high performing team, promoting professional growth, operational excellence, and a strong colleague experience.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes, incorporating relevant insights into your strategy and priorities.

Skills/competencies required:

  • 7+ years of dynamic experience in cash cycle management, finance, accounting, or related operational roles, with at least 3 years in a leadership capacity.
  • Demonstrated success in leading large scale process standardization, centralization, and/or performance improvement initiatives in a global or matrixed environment.
  • Strong understanding of end to end cash cycle processes, accounting principles (U.S. GAAP), and related financial controls (such as SOX).
  • Proven ability to inspire change, manage cross functional projects, and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience with process automation, digital enablement, and performance management.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience in the commercial risk insurance industry, financial services, or a shared services/global capability center environment.
  • Familiarity with ERP and financial systems (such as SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms), process automation tools, and data analytics solutions.
  • Exposure to Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies.
  • Advanced degree or equivalent experience or professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CMA, Lean Six Sigma) are a plus.
