Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Group HR Manager to lead HR functions across both Zista EdVentures and Zista Education. The role involves working closely with the CEO's and leadership team to ensure robust HR systems, effective people processes, and a strong organisational culture that supports growth and operational excellence.

The Group HR Manager will oversee recruitment, employee engagement, performance management, HR compliance, and people operations across teams.

Key Responsibilities

Talent Acquisition & Recruitment

  • Develop and execute recruitment strategies to attract high-quality talent.
  • Manage end-to-end hiring: job postings, sourcing, interviews, and onboarding.
  • Build structured talent pipelines aligned with organisational growth.
  • Promote inclusive hiring practices and equal opportunity.

Employee Relations & Culture

  • Serve as a trusted point of contact for employees across both companies.
  • Manage employee concerns, grievances, and conflict resolution with fairness and confidentiality.
  • Lead culture-building initiatives and strengthen communication across teams.
  • Support performance review cycles, probation evaluations, and goal-setting processes.

HR Operations & Compliance

  • Maintain and update HR policies, handbooks, and standard processes.
  • Ensure compliance with labour laws, statutory requirements, and internal SOPs.
  • Oversee HRMS operations, leave management, and payroll coordination.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential HR records.

Performance Management & Development

  • Standardise performance management frameworks across business units.
  • Support L&D initiatives, role-based capability building, and employee development.
  • Identify skill gaps and support succession planning.

Analytics & Reporting

  • Use HR metrics to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Prepare regular dashboards and reports for management review.
  • Track hiring progress, retention, employee engagement, and productivity.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 8 to 10+ years of HR experience in an Indian organisation; experience in higher education is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of Indian labour laws and statutory compliance.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism.
  • Proficiency in HRMS platforms and MS Office Suite.
  • SHRM, HRBP, or HRIS certification is an added advantage.
