Job Description Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Job Overview:

We are looking for a highly accountable and hands-on Group Chief Financial Officer (CFO) who will take complete ownership of the finance and accounts function at UNG India.

This role goes beyond strategy the CFO will be responsible for end-to-end daily operations of the accounts department, including team management, compliance, banking, and financial control.

The Director will interact primarily with the CFO, who will independently manage and oversee all financial activities of the organization.

Key Responsibilities

1. End-to-End Finance & Accounting Ownership

Oversee and manage daily accounting operations (bookkeeping, ledgers, reconciliations, closures)

Ensure accuracy and timeliness of all financial records and reporting

Take full responsibility for core accounting functions

2. Team Leadership & Management

Build, manage, and supervise the accounts team

Handle hiring, training, performance management, and terminations

Establish strong processes, accountability, and discipline within the department

3. Compliance & Regulatory Management

Ensure 100% compliance with all statutory requirements (GST, TDS, Income Tax, ROC, etc.)

Handle audits, filings, and regulatory interactions independently

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of applicable laws and regulations

4. Banking & Financial Operations

Manage all banking relationships, limits, and facilities (OD/CC/loans)

Oversee cash flow, working capital, and fund management

Handle negotiations with banks and financial institutions

5. Financial Planning & Control

Prepare budgets, forecasts, and financial reports

Monitor performance against budgets and ensure cost control

Provide actionable financial insights to the Director

6. Internal Controls & Risk Management

Establish and maintain strong internal controls and financial systems

Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies

Ensure financial discipline across the organization

7. Strategic Support

Support business growth with financial planning and decision-making insights

Evaluate financial impact of new initiatives, expansions, or investments

Mandatory Requirements

Must be located within 30 minutes of the office or willing to relocate

Must own a personal vehicle for commuting

Strong command of English (written and verbal)

Excellent computer proficiency (Advanced Excel, Word, Adobe Acrobat)

Key Skills

Strong hands-on expertise in accounting, taxation, and compliance

Deep understanding of Indian statutory requirements

Ability to independently manage the entire finance team

Strong leadership and decision-making capability

High level of ownership, accountability, and integrity

Experience

Minimum 10+ years of experience in finance and accounting

Prior experience in healthcare / medical equipment industry preferred

Experience in managing teams and complete finance operations is mandatory

Education

Chartered Accountant (CA) / CPA (mandatory)

Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field preferred
