Job Summary
We are seeking dynamic and detail-oriented professionals for the role of Ground Research & Booth Mapper to execute booth-level political field research across approximately 350 polling booths (85–90 booths per person) in Punjab. The role involves conducting on-ground surveys, gathering voter insights, identifying key influencers, and maintaining real-time reporting through digital dashboards.
This position requires extensive fieldwork, strong observation skills, and the ability to build and manage local networks effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Conducts booth-level surveys and mapping across assigned polling booths (85–90 booths per individual).
- Identify local influencers, community leaders, and opinion makers within assigned areas.
- Capture voter sentiments, key issues, demographic trends, and emerging opportunities.
- Conduct spot interviews with voters and stakeholders to gather qualitative insights.
- Build and maintain strong local intelligence networks for continuous information flow.
- Update and manage digital booth dashboards with accurate and real-time data.
- Track ground-level developments and flag urgent matters to the client through the designated liaison.
- Prepare structured daily and weekly field reports.
- Ensure data accuracy, confidentiality, and timely submission of updates.
Eligibility & Requirements
- Graduate in any discipline (Political Science, Sociology, Public Administration, Journalism preferred).
- Prior experience in field research, political campaigns, surveys, grassroots mobilization, or social sector projects is preferred.
- Strong communication skills in Punjabi and Hindi (English knowledge is an advantage).
- Comfortable with extensive travel and fieldwork within assigned districts.
- Basic knowledge of data entry tools, Google Sheets, and digital reporting platforms.
- Ability to analyze ground realities and provide actionable insights.
