About The Opportunity
The Greenhouse Worker II position will assist in specific duties to ensure the overall success of the Nursery Greenhouse Operations. Daily duties will consist of specialized greenhouse related activities. There is a strong emphasis on productivity, efficiency and employee safety.
Candidate Profile
Job Qualifications
- At a minimum of two years of work experience in similar field preferred.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment with multiple areas within the Greenhouse Operations department.
- Candidate must be reliable, disciplined, detail oriented and self-motivated.
- Ability to work independently with technology if assigned activities require it.
- Ability to communicate effectively in either English and/or Spanish desired.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Basic knowledge of reading, writing and arithmetic preferred.
- Many duties require manual dexterity and ability to perform repetitive tasks.
- Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds on intermittent bases and possess the ability to sit for extended periods of time.
- Proven ability to demonstrate the following competencies in the workplace: collaborates, plans & aligns and drives for results.

Responsibilities May Include But Are Not Limited To
- General responsibilities are to be executed with the efficiency and safety in mind.
- Administrative Focus – Duties include: assisting with general administration tasks as needed that involve the utilization of technology
- Inventory Focus - Duties include tracking material movement using internal inventory applications and maintaining organized accurate digital and physical records
- Ensures the safe keeping of propriety varieties and confidential information.
- Follows company policies and practices while representing Driscoll's in an ethical and business - like manner in all interactions with employees, government agencies, growers, etc.
- Performs other duties as assigned by Greenhouse Operations Leadership Team.
