Role Description:
We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Graphic Designer / Visualizer who can deliver high-quality visual communication across both digital and print media.
The ideal candidate should possess strong design capabilities, an understanding of branding, and the ability to translate ideas into compelling visual stories. The role will support SMF's communication initiatives, campaigns, and program outreach through impactful visual content.
This position requires someone who can maintain strong visual consistency, creativity, and storytelling while aligning with the organization's mission and communication goals.
Key Responsibilities:
(A). Visual Design & Content Creation
- Design communication materials including posters, brochures, reports, presentations, infographics, and event collaterals.
- Create engaging visual content for social media platforms, websites, newsletters, and digital campaigns.
- Develop creative layouts and design solutions that effectively communicate program messages and impact stories.
(B). Digital & Social Media Design
- Design high-quality creatives for social media campaigns, announcements, and program promotions.
- Ensure all visual communication is aligned with the brand identity and messaging guidelines of SMF.
- Adapt designs across multiple formats and platforms while maintaining consistency.
(C). Branding & Campaign Support
- Support branding initiatives including campaign visuals, program branding, and communication assets.
- Ensure adherence to brand guidelines, typography, color palettes, and visual standards.
- Assist in developing and maintaining visual identity and brand consistency across all communications.
(D). Print Design & Production
- Design print-ready materials such as brochures, banners, reports, certificates, and event branding elements.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure quality output for printed materials.
(E). Collaboration & Coordination
- Work closely with the communications, programs, and outreach teams to understand content requirements.
- Translate concepts, program narratives, and campaign ideas into visually compelling designs.
- Support documentation and visual representation of SMF's programs, events, and activities.
Education & Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Graphics and Graphic Design techniques, with expertise in design tools and software.
- Bachelor's degree in graphic design, Visual Communication, Fine Arts, Multimedia, or a related field.
- Minimum 6 years of hands-on experience as a Graphic Designer or Visualizer.
- Demonstrated experience with a strong and relevant design portfolio.
- Experience in NGOs, social sector organizations, education initiatives, or communication agencies will be an added advantage.
- Experience in Logo Design, Branding, and creating cohesive visual identities for brands and campaigns.
- Strong skills in Typography for creating visually appealing and communicative designs.
- Creativity, attention to detail, and strong problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teams and stakeholders to meet project objectives.
- Previous experience working in design projects for diverse industries and clients is a plus.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).
- Familiarity with Canva and basic Figma (preferred).
- Experience in social media design and digital content creation.
- Knowledge of print design specifications and production processes.
- Basic understanding of photography and photo-editing tools will be an advantage.
