Grainville India Private Limited is a rapidly growing rice-processing and international export company supplying premium Indian rice to importers, distributors, retailers and private-label customers across the USA, Middle East, Africa, Europe and other global markets.
As Grainville enters its next phase of growth, we are building a professional and internationally consistent brand across product packaging, digital platforms, corporate communication and buyer-facing marketing material.
We are looking for a creative, commercially aware and technology-oriented Graphic Designer – Brand, Packaging & Digital to join our marketing team at our corporate office in Sector 65, Gurugram.
About the role
This is not a role limited to social-media creatives.
The selected candidate will work across product packaging, labels, brochures, catalogues, presentations, website visuals, exhibitions, digital campaigns and international buyer-specific requirements.
The person must be able to understand a business brief, convert it into strong visual communication and deliver production-ready artwork accurately and on time.
Packaging and artwork accuracy are particularly important because Grainville supplies different products, brands, pack sizes and private-label customers across multiple international markets.
Key responsibilitiesPackaging and label design
- Design and adapt packaging for rice and other food products across multiple formats and pack sizes.
- Work on BOPP, PP, jute, non-woven, paper and flexible packaging designs.
- Prepare buyer-specific and private-label packaging artwork.
- Adapt designs for different countries, languages, weights, product variants and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure correct placement of product details, specifications, certifications, barcodes, importer information and statutory declarations.
- Prepare print-ready artwork with correct dimensions, bleed, colour mode, fonts, resolution and dielines.
- Coordinate with printers, packaging suppliers and production teams for sampling and finalisation.
- Review pre-production proofs and identify artwork or printing discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate version control for all packaging files.
- Build an organised digital library of approved and obsolete artwork.
Brand design and visual identity
- Help develop and maintain Grainville's visual identity.
- Create and follow brand guidelines covering logos, typography, layouts, imagery and presentation standards.
- Ensure consistency across Grainville's corporate and product communication.
- Develop visual concepts for new products, brands and market segments.
- Create professional templates that can be used consistently by sales, marketing and management teams.
Marketing and sales material
- Design product brochures, catalogues, company profiles and capability presentations.
- Create buyer-specific presentations and product proposals.
- Design product comparison sheets, specification sheets and sales-support material.
- Prepare exhibition graphics, banners, booth panels, standees and other event material.
- Support international trade fairs, buyer meetings and business presentations.
- Create product mock-ups and realistic packaging visualisations.
- Prepare professional charts, infographics and visual summaries for business presentations.
Digital and social-media design
- Create visuals for LinkedIn, website, email campaigns and other digital channels.
- Develop campaign creatives, product posts, announcements and corporate content.
- Design website banners, landing-page graphics and product visuals.
- Resize and adapt designs for multiple digital formats.
- Support basic motion graphics and short-form video content where required.
- Maintain a consistent and professional digital brand appearance.
Image, video and content production
- Edit product, packaging, factory and corporate photographs.
- Remove backgrounds, correct lighting and prepare product images for marketing use.
- Create visual mock-ups before packaging production.
- Support basic video editing, reels, animations and presentation videos.
- Coordinate with photographers, videographers and external production vendors.
- Organise and maintain Grainville's visual asset library.
Coordination and quality control
- Understand briefs from the Founder, Marketing Manager, sales team and customers.
- Ask the right questions before starting a design.
- Manage multiple projects, revisions and deadlines simultaneously.
- Maintain trackers for briefs, approvals, versions and final delivery.
- Verify every artwork carefully before release.
- Coordinate with the factory, packaging vendors, printers and external agencies where required.
- Ensure that confidential buyer brands and private-label artwork are handled securely.
AI and design technology
- Use AI-enabled design tools responsibly for ideation, mock-ups, image enhancement and production support.
- Use AI to accelerate repetitive design tasks without compromising originality or accuracy.
- Evaluate AI-generated content before commercial use.
- Avoid unauthorised use of copyrighted images, fonts, logos or brand material.
- Work with Grainville's marketing and business systems teams to organise design assets and approval workflows.
- Remain updated on modern design, packaging and content-production tools.
What we are looking for
- 2–5 years of professional graphic-design experience.
- A strong portfolio demonstrating commercial design work.
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign.
- Strong understanding of typography, layout, branding and colour.
- Experience preparing artwork for print and digital use.
- Understanding of bleed, dielines, CMYK, resolution, fonts and production-ready files.
- Excellent attention to detail and artwork accuracy.
- Ability to understand and execute business briefs.
- Ability to manage revisions professionally and meet deadlines.
- Working knowledge of AI-assisted design tools.
- Good written communication and file-management discipline.
- Willingness to work full-time and on-site from Sector 65, Gurugram.
Preferred experience
Preference will be given to candidates with experience in:
- Food, FMCG, consumer products or packaging design.
- Flexible packaging, pouches, rice bags, jute bags or retail cartons.
- Private-label packaging.
- International or multilingual packaging.
- Printing and pre-press production.
- Product catalogues, company profiles and corporate presentations.
- Trade-fair and exhibition design.
- Basic motion graphics or video editing.
- 3D packaging mock-ups and product visualisation.
Experience with food packaging is strongly preferred, but candidates from other packaging-intensive industries may also be considered if their portfolio is strong.
Software and tools
Candidates should be comfortable with:
- Adobe Illustrator.
- Adobe Photoshop.
- Adobe InDesign.
- Microsoft PowerPoint.
Experience with any of the following will be an advantage:
- Adobe After Effects.
- Adobe Premiere Pro.
- Figma.
- Canva.
- CorelDRAW.
- Blender or other 3D tools.
- AI image-generation and editing platforms.
- Packaging mock-up and pre-press tools.
Canva-only experience will not be sufficient for this position.
What this role is not
This role is not limited to:
- Festival posts and social-media templates.
- Resizing agency creatives.
- Using ready-made Canva templates.
- Creating visually attractive artwork without checking content accuracy.
- Designing packaging without understanding printing requirements.
- Forwarding files to printers without proof-checking them.
The selected candidate must combine creativity with commercial understanding, production accuracy and disciplined file management.
What success will look like
Within the first few months, the selected candidate should be able to:
- Organise Grainville's existing packaging and design files.
- Establish proper artwork naming and version-control systems.
- Create consistent brand templates for corporate and marketing communication.
- Improve the quality of Grainville's brochures, presentations and digital visuals.
- Independently execute packaging adaptations and buyer-specific artwork.
- Prepare accurate print-ready files with minimal corrections.
- Build a structured image, video and creative asset library.
- Support the Marketing Manager with timely campaign and sales material.
- Reduce dependence on external designers for routine and urgent work.
