Job Description

  • Purpose of Position

  • To support the project team in planning, supervision, quality monitoring, documentation, and coordination activities across various work fronts. The Graduate Trainee Engineer will learn project management processes, technical standards, site protocols, and reporting mechanisms while contributing to day-to-day project execution and compliance.
  • The position performs in line with the Bureau Veritas Quality Assurance System, including the BV Code of Ethics and the BV Group policy

  • Major Responsibilities

  • Assist Site Engineers in daily supervision of construction activities, workmanship, and adherence to drawings and specifications.
  • Support quality checks including material verification, basic tests, and documentation of inspection reports.
  • Participate in progress monitoring activities, including measurement verification, capturing site data, updating progress trackers, and maintaining daily logs.
  • Assist in coordinating with contractors, subcontractors, and vendors for work execution, material delivery, and compliance requirements.
  • Support preparation of technical documentation such as checklists, method statements, inspection reports, and material approval files.
  • Observe and learn safety procedures assist the HSE team in ensuring adherence to safety norms.
  • Assist in preparing weekly and monthly reports, photographs, and supporting documents for client reviews.
  • Maintain proper filing and documentation of drawings, revisions, and communication records.
  • Provide general engineering support to the project management team as required.

  • Criteria for Performance Evaluation (KPIs)
  • Timeliness & Accuracy of Daily Reports - Daily logs, progress updates, and measurement data submitted accurately and on time.
  • Quality Compliance Support - Percentage of inspections completed without rework adherence to checklists and QC documentation.
  • Documentation Reliability - Updated records, proper filing, and zero missing documents during audits.
  • Coordination Efficiency - Responsiveness and follow-up effectiveness with contractors and internal teams.
  • Learning & Development - Completion of assigned training modules, improvement in technical skills, and readiness to independently handle tasks.
  • Safety Compliance Support - Zero safety violations observed in tasks handled active reporting of hazards.

  • Qualification and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering / Electrical Engineering / Mechanical Engineering as applicable to the project.
  • 0-1 years of experience fresh graduates may apply.
  • Internship experience in construction/infra/PMC projects is an added advantage.

  • Skills & Qualities:

  • Basic understanding of construction materials, drawings, standards, and site procedures.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving ability with willingness to learn.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) familiarity with AutoCAD/Primavera is an advantage.
  • Good communication and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work under supervision and in a team environment.
  • High level of discipline, integrity, and adaptability to field conditions.
  • Positive attitude, eagerness to grow, and openness to feedback.
