Role

  • Bridge Between Technical & Commercial Teams
  • Act as a link between design/engineering teams and customers.
  • Translate technical capabilities into customer value propositions.
  • Market Development
  • Identify potential markets, applications, and customer segments.
  • Support business development through technical marketing.
  • Product Promotion & Positioning
  • Highlight product advantages based on engineering knowledge.
  • Conduct product demos, technical presentations, and seminars.
  • Customer Support
  • Provide pre-sales and post-sales technical assistance.
  • Address customer queries related to product specifications.
  • Competitor Analysis
  • Track competitor technologies, features, and pricing.
  • Suggest strategies to stay competitive.

Responsibilities of a Marketing Engineer

  • Market Research & Analysis
    • Collect data on industry trends, customer requirements, and competitor activities.
    • Provide inputs for product development and pricing strategy.
  • Lead Generation & Business Development
    • Identify new customers through exhibitions, trade shows, and digital marketing.
    • Generate qualified leads and pass them to the sales team.
  • Technical Documentation
    • Prepare brochures, datasheets, case studies, and presentations.
    • Support in drafting proposals, quotations, and technical tenders.
  • Sales Support
    • Work closely with the sales team to explain technical benefits.
    • Assist in cost estimation and negotiation with customers.
  • Customer Relationship Management
    • Build strong relationships with existing and prospective clients.
    • Gather customer feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Reporting & Forecasting
    • Prepare monthly/quarterly marketing reports.
    • Track sales pipeline and forecast market demand.
