Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Google Looker Developer to join our team in Pune. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating and maintaining LookML models, designing insightful dashboards, and enabling data-driven decision-making across the organization. You will work closely with business stakeholders and technical teams to deliver robust BI solutions using Looker on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain LookML models, explore data schemas, and build interactive dashboards and reports on Looker.
• Design and optimize data models, ensuring efficient data integration and query performance.
• Write efficient SQL queries to extract, manipulate, and analyze data, with an emphasis on performance and accuracy.
• Create custom visualizations leveraging Looker's visualization capabilities to enhance data storytelling.
• Implement and enforce data governance policies to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and security across BI solutions.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather business requirements and translate them into technical Looker solutions.
• Provide training and ongoing support to end-users on Looker usage and data interpretation.
• Stay current with Looker's latest features, updates, and best practices to continuously improve BI offerings.
• Work closely with data engineers and developers to resolve complex technical and data issues.
• Participate in system enhancement discussions, upgrades, and new requirement sessions.
• Identify and propose opportunities for automation, performance improvements, and increased efficiency within the Looker environment.
• Recommend and implement system optimizations to enhance reliability and user satisfaction.

Technical Skills:

• Strong proficiency in SQL query writing; experience with BigQuery is a plus.
• Hands-on experience with LookML scripting and Looker dashboard development.
• Basic understanding of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services.
• Knowledge of ETL processes and Python scripting is desirable.
• Familiarity with Jira and Confluence for project and issue tracking.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Proven experience in BI tools, specifically Google Looker.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
