Job Brief:- AU Small Finance Bank Limited is seeking a meticulous and experienced professional to join our Operations and Services team, specializing in the evaluation and verification of gold assets for loan processing. This role demands a deep understanding of gold appraisal techniques, market trends, and regulatory compliance to ensure accurate valuation and risk mitigation. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in supporting the bank's gold loan portfolio by providing precise assessments that uphold the institution's standards for security and customer trust.

Responsibilities:-

• Conduct thorough physical inspection and verification of gold items submitted as collateral for loan processing, ensuring authenticity and purity.
• Evaluate the market value of gold based on current rates, weight, and quality to determine loan eligibility and amount.
• Maintain detailed records of appraisals, including photographs, descriptions, and valuation reports, adhering to company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with loan officers and operations teams to facilitate smooth processing of gold-backed loans, providing expert advice on valuation matters.
• Stay updated with fluctuations in gold market prices and industry trends to provide accurate and timely appraisals.
• Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory guidelines related to gold appraisal and loan disbursement.
• Identify and report any discrepancies or suspicious activities related to gold collateral to the appropriate authorities within the bank.
• Participate in periodic audits and quality checks to maintain appraisal accuracy and operational integrity.
• Train and mentor junior staff on gold appraisal techniques and operational procedures to enhance team capability.
