Job Brief:- AU Small Finance Bank Limited is seeking an experienced professional to lead the valuation and appraisal of gold assets within our Operations and Services department. This role demands a high level of expertise in gold appraisal to support the bank's gold loan portfolio, ensuring accurate and timely assessment of gold collateral. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of gold purity testing, market trends, and regulatory compliance, contributing to risk mitigation and operational efficiency. This position plays a critical role in maintaining the integrity of the bank's secured lending practices and requires collaboration with multiple teams to uphold service excellence and customer trust.

Responsibilities:-

• Conduct precise and thorough appraisal of gold jewelry and bullion to determine accurate market value for loan processing.
• Verify gold purity using industry-standard testing methods such as acid tests, electronic gold testers, and X-ray fluorescence (XRF) analyzers.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines and internal policies related to gold loan collateral evaluation.
• Collaborate with credit and risk teams to assess the quality and authenticity of gold assets, minimizing potential loan defaults.
• Maintain detailed records of appraisals, including photographs, test results, and valuation reports for audit and reference purposes.
• Stay updated on current gold market trends, price fluctuations, and industry best practices to provide informed valuations.
• Train and mentor junior appraisers and operations staff on gold testing techniques and appraisal standards.
• Coordinate with branch operations to streamline the gold loan appraisal process, enhancing turnaround time and customer satisfaction.
• Participate in periodic audits and quality checks to ensure appraisal accuracy and adherence to bank standards.
• Support the development and implementation of new appraisal tools and technologies to improve efficiency and accuracy.
