Job Description – Golang Developer

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled Golang Developer to join our engineering team and build scalable, high-performance backend applications and microservices. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Go, REST/gRPC APIs, databases, and cloud-native technologies.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, test, and maintain backend applications using Golang.

- Build scalable and reliable RESTful APIs and microservices.

- Develop concurrent applications using goroutines, channels, and Go concurrency patterns.

- Write clean, efficient, maintainable, and well-tested code.

- Work with SQL/NoSQL databases and optimize queries and data access.

- Integrate third-party services and internal APIs.

- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application and production issues.

- Participate in code reviews and contribute to coding standards and best practices.

- Collaborate with Product, QA, DevOps, and other engineering teams.

- Containerize applications using Docker and support deployments using Kubernetes.

- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and production releases.

- Monitor application performance, reliability, and scalability.

- Participate in technical design and architecture discussions.

Required Skills

6+ years of professional software development experience.

- Strong hands-on experience with Golang / Go.

- Good understanding of Go fundamentals, interfaces, error handling, packages, and standard libraries.

- Strong knowledge of goroutines, channels, concurrency, and multithreading.

- Experience developing REST APIs and microservices.

- Good understanding of Data Structures and Algorithms.

- Experience with SQL databases such as PostgreSQL/MySQL.

- Knowledge of NoSQL databases such as MongoDB/Redis is an advantage.

- Strong experience with Git and collaborative development workflows.

- Experience with unit testing and debugging.

- Good understanding of Linux/Unix environments.

Good to Have

- Experience with gRPC.

- Experience with Kafka/RabbitMQ/NATS or other messaging systems.

- Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes.

- Exposure to AWS/Azure/GCP.

- Experience with CI/CD tools and DevOps practices.

- Knowledge of distributed systems and cloud-native architecture.

- Experience with monitoring and observability tools.

- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodology.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
