Job Description General Manager (Sales & Marketing)
Role Description
This role requires strategic planning, strong market analysis, and execution of effective sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and strengthen market presence. The candidate must come with a solid background in the capital goods industry (B2B) and deep expertise in wastewater management.
Qualifications
Bachelor's in Engineering plus an MBA (Marketing) from a reputed institute
15+ years of experience in industrial water and wastewater sales and marketing
Strong presentation and communication skills
Proven experience in business development within wastewater management or capital goods, preferably with exposure to Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) solutions
Experience across industrial segments such as Chemical, Pharmaceutical (API), Power, Integrated Steel, Fertilizers, and Ethanol plants
Strong knowledge of wastewater treatment/ZLD technologies/ETP
Demonstrated client relationship management skills with a focus on customer satisfaction and retention
Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Willingness to travel to client sites
Comfortable engaging with senior leadership across industries
Roles & Responsibilities
Conduct detailed market research to identify and evaluate target markets
Develop sales strategies and build a strong technical sales team to achieve business expansion
Execute end-to-end sales processes, from lead generation to deal closure
Maintain consistent communication with clients throughout project lifecycles to ensure high satisfaction and long-term retention
Build strong networks with stakeholders, industry leaders, decision-makers, and channel partners
Drive continuous improvement and adopt innovative practices to enhance operational efficiency and service delivery
