Major Purpose of the Job:

• Procurement for CSBU units – KSM, Raw Materials & Solvents for Ankleshwar Unit-1, Unit-2, Dhaj & Kadi Units.
• Ensuring delivery of materials as per SCM monthly planning.
• Timely, cost-effective, and compliant procurement of raw materials, solvents, and chemicals required for API manufacturing.
• Ensuring uninterrupted production through optimal inventory management and strategic sourcing.
• Accountable for managing material delivery (Max OTIF – 95%) within stipulated scope and cost without impacting production timelines.

Key Responsibility Areas:

• Procurement of API raw materials and solvents as per production and project requirements.
• Develop and manage approved vendor base; ensure COA/MSDS and regulatory compliance.
• Oversee demand planning, MRP, Auto-PR review, and ensure timely material availability.
• Monitor and maintain inventory levels, safety stock, and monthly consumption planning.
• Negotiate pricing, contracts, and credit terms to maintain cost efficiency.
• Coordinate with Production, QA, QC, Finance, and Projects for seamless operations.
• Ensure on-time delivery, shipment tracking, and documentation (COA, MSDS, LR, BL, AWB).
• Resolve supply disruptions, price fluctuations, and urgent procurement requirements.
• Drive budget planning, cost control, and SCM reporting.
• Lead and mentor SCM team to ensure performance, compliance, and continuous improvement.
• Develop alternate vendors for monopoly and critical materials as per in-house specifications.
