Responsible for Global Sourcing & Procurement of key raw materials, intermediates, and specialty chemicals including R&D requirements.
Lead techno-commercial negotiations to ensure competitive pricing while maintaining high quality, service levels, and driving cost reduction initiatives aligned with production timelines and quality standards.
Accountable for managing delivery performance (Max OTIF – 95%) within stipulated scope and cost, ensuring no impact on production schedules.
Drive new vendor identification, evaluation, due diligence, and alternate source development from source-to-contract and source-to-pay, enabling risk mitigation and cost optimization.
Key Responsibility Areas:
Manage Global Sourcing & Procurement of key raw materials, intermediates, and specialty chemicals (including R&D requirements).
Lead price and techno-commercial negotiations to achieve cost competitiveness while ensuring quality and supply continuity.
Develop and implement procurement best practices, strategies, policies, processes, and systems to enhance business performance.
Ensure OTIF (≥95%) delivery performance without affecting production timelines.
Oversee the complete procurement cycle from PR to Pay (RFQ, evaluation, final negotiation, supplier selection, and performance rating).
Identify, evaluate, and develop alternate vendors to mitigate supply risks and improve cost advantage.
Manage vendor qualification documentation as per regulatory requirements (US, Europe & ROW markets).
Coordinate with QA and vendors for audits; conduct audits and ensure timely audit compliance closure.
Periodically assess vendor performance, conduct due diligence, and quality audits for both new and existing suppliers.
Build and maintain strategic vendor alliances through commercial agreements, quality agreements, and CDAs to ensure uninterrupted supply aligned with organizational objectives.
