Global Trade Operations Lead - Hyderabad

This is a hands-on functional leadership role with global ownership of trade operations, data, and systems. You will define standards, drive execution, and serve as the central authority for trade operations across regionsenabling both compliance integrity and business agility in a fast-paced, purpose-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Systems & Infrastructure: Own the strategy, management, and continuous improvement of trade systems infrastructure, including Oracle GTM, Anaplan, and related platforms. Drive system integration, data architecture alignment, and process automation to improve scalability, accuracy, and efficiency.
  • Trade Data, Classification & Controls: Own and maintain the global HS classification repository, ensuring records are complete and up to date; manage product master updates and uphold the control framework for classification data. Establish and govern SOPs and control frameworks for trade operations, including compliance checks, data standards, and process consistency across regions.
  • Tariff Strategy & Data Ownership: Own and continuously enhance Nextpower's Global Tariff Model, including estimating and managing the financial impact of tariffs and trade policy changes. Govern the integrity, accuracy, and lifecycle of tariff and trade data, ensuring audit readiness and alignment across systems and reporting.
  • Analytics & Insights: Lead the development and delivery of data, analytics, and reporting solutions derived from global trade and customs data. Build scalable dashboards and insights to monitor tariff exposure, compliance performance, and operational trends, enabling data-driven decision-making across the business.
  • Functional Leadership & Stakeholder Alignment: Serve as the subject matter expert and functional authority on trade operations, driving alignment and decision-making across cross-functional stakeholders including supply chain, finance, and logistics.
  • Capability Building: Provide technical leadership and mentorship to analysts and regional stakeholders, enabling consistent execution, capability building, and continuous improvement across the function.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in International Trade, Supply Chain, Law, Data Analytics, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in trade compliance, trade operations, or related fields; 10+ years preferred, with demonstrated ownership of programs, systems, or functional domains.
  • Expertise in HS classification, customs valuation, origin determination, and global trade documentation processes.
  • Experience with Oracle GTM, Anaplan, or equivalent global trade management systems.
  • Strong data analytics capability, including experience working with large datasets, building reports or dashboards, and translating data into actionable insights (e.g., Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools).
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to operate independently, manage competing priorities, and drive process improvement and automation initiatives.
  • High integrity, attention to detail, and a proactive, solution-oriented mindset.
