We are seeking a passionate and dynamic
Global Perspectives & Humanity Teacher to engage students in critical thinking, research, and inquiry-based learning. The role involves teaching interdisciplinary subjects that develop global awareness, cultural understanding, and analytical skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons in Global Perspectives and Humanities aligned with the Cambridge/IGCSE curriculum
- Encourage critical thinking, research, and problem-solving skills among students
- Facilitate discussions on global issues, sustainability, cultures, and societies
- Design and assess projects, presentations, and research-based assignments
- Integrate real-world contexts and current affairs into classroom teaching
- Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback
- Maintain records of student performance and prepare reports
- Collaborate with colleagues for interdisciplinary learning
- Participate in school events, parent meetings, and professional development programs
Skills & Competencies
- Strong subject knowledge in Humanities (History, Geography, Social Studies)
- Understanding of IGCSE/International Curriculum
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to promote inquiry-based and experiential learning
- Strong classroom management skills
- Proficiency in using technology in teaching
Qualifications
- Bachelor's/Master's Degree in Humanities / Social Sciences / Education
- B.Ed. or equivalent teaching qualification (preferred)
- Experience in IGCSE or international curriculum will be an advantage
