Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Global Payroll professional to lead and manage end-to-end payroll operations across multiple geographies US, EU, LATAM, APAC. The role requires strong expertise in global payroll processes, statutory compliance, vendor management, and payroll transformation initiatives, preferably within Pharma or Manufacturing environments.

Key Responsibilities:

Global Payroll Management

  • Oversee end-to-end payroll processing across multiple countries ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance
  • Manage payroll calendars, audits, reconciliations, and reporting
  • Ensure compliance with local labor laws, tax regulations, and statutory requirements across regions.
  • Handle complex payroll structures including shift allowances, overtime, incentives, unionized workforce, and contract labor (as applicable).
  • Ensure payroll accuracy, timely processing, and adherence to SLAs/KPIs.
  • Coordinate with HRBPs, Policy, compliance, Finance, and in-country stakeholders.
  • Manage payroll inputs related to shift differentials, overtime, production incentives, and attendance-based pay.

Stakeholder & Vendor Management:

  • Collaborate with HR, Finance, and external payroll vendors to ensure seamless payroll delivery
  • Manage relationships with global payroll providers and ensure adherence to SLAs and KPIs
  • Act as the primary point of contact for payroll-related escalations and queries.

Compliance & Governance:

  • Ensure adherence to global and local statutory regulations, including tax filings, social security, and audits
  • Maintain strong internal controls and ensure payroll data integrity and confidentiality
  • Support internal and external audits.

Process Improvement & Transformation:

  • Drive payroll standardization, automation, and process improvement initiatives
  • Lead implementation or optimization of payroll systems (e.g., SAP, Workday, ADP, etc.)
  • Identify opportunities for cost optimization and operational efficiency.

Reporting & Analytics:

  • Generate payroll reports, dashboards, and insights for leadership
  • Support financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting related to payroll costs

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, HR, Accounting, or related field MBA preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with payroll systems such as SAP, Workday, ADP or similar platforms.
  • 10–15 years of experience in payroll operations with significant exposure to global payroll
  • Strong experience in Pharma or Manufacturing industry environments
  • In-depth knowledge of multi-country payroll compliance and statutory regulations
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills
  • Proven experience in managing payroll vendors and leading teams

Preferred Competencies:

  • Experience in payroll transformation or global payroll consolidation projects
  • Strong project management skills
  • High attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines
  • Excellent communication and leadership capabilities
