Job Overview
The
GlobalPayroll Associate (Fresher) will be responsible for supporting our clients as they begin using the peopleHum payroll system and ensuring their payroll experience is smooth, accurate, and well-guided. The ideal candidate is a quick learner with strong attention to detail, good communication skills, and a genuine interest in payroll operations and customer support. Roles And Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a strong working understanding of the peopleHum HRMS payroll system to support clients with basic queries and product usage.
- Assist clients during onboarding and implementation by supporting tasks like data collection, data validation, configuration assistance, and training coordination.
- Join client calls to understand queries related to payroll workflows and provide first-level support by guiding them through system steps and best practices.
- Coordinate with internal teams (Product Development / Technical Support / Implementation) to escalate issues that require deeper technical or policy-level resolution.
- Help clients stay updated on product enhancements, feature changes, and recommended payroll process practices.
- Proactively identify repeated client concerns and share insights with the internal team to improve documentation, workflows, and customer experience.
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions, issues, and follow-ups in the CRM system.
- Stay updated on basic payroll concepts (salary components, statutory deductions, compliance terms) and learn how they apply within the product.
- Support the team in creating or updating simple help guides, FAQs, and onboarding documents for clients.
Key Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, B.Com, or a related field preferred.
- 0–1 year experience (Freshers / recent graduates can apply). Internship exposure in payroll, HR operations, finance, or customer support is a plus.
- Basic proficiency in MS Office / Google Workspace, especially Excel/Sheets (sorting, filters, basic formulas).
- Interest in payroll operations and willingness to learn payroll compliance fundamentals (PF, ESI, PT, TDS etc.).
- Strong communication skills (verbal + written) with the ability to explain steps clearly to clients.
- Good problem-solving mindset and ability to ask the right questions to understand client issues.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage tasks and timelines.
- Customer-first attitude with patience, empathy, and professionalism on calls and emails.
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment and learn quickly with feedback.
