Job Description

Responsibilities of Global Operations Lead - Vessel Accounting:

  • Manage a team size of approx 80 colleagues performing Vessel Accounting for various Management Offices
  • Provide Strategic direction to Team Leaders in meeting overall Objectives
  • Serve as 1st Point of Escalation for the VFC's / Vessel Owners/ Local MD's.
  • Liaison with Team Leaders to ensure timely resolution of escalations
  • Resource planning for projects and new vessel/owners addition in GSS -
  • allocation of team members considering the external factors (Volume, owners requirement) and internal factors (team members capacity and capability)
  • Identify potential process risks, establish control plan and monitor the impact with Risk and Mitigation plan
  • Responsible for driving continuous process improvement through Internal and External ISO Audit
  • Lead Quality Audits and ensure 100% compliance in all areas
  • Identify automation opportunity and review blueprint with the automation team
  • Building robust business relationships with key partners and stakeholders
  • Monitor Key Performance Indicators as agreed with Management and suggest corrective action if required
  • Direct the preparation of Audit readiness in order to comply with owners, SSE Audit
  • Support Change Management eg. IT, ERP and Org Changes
  • Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) Maintenance and Review

Skills Required For Global Operations Lead - Vessel Accounting

  • CA/ACCA/CMA
  • Full time Graduate or MBA with a major in Finance, business or accounting
  • 15+ years of Expertise in General Accounting, Excellent Knowledge of Vessel Accounting Processes
  • Experience in accounting, reporting financial systems
  • Experience in interfacing with business operational Customers and controllers
  • Ability to manage a diverse group of skill sets in a delivery center environment
  • Strong communication skills
  • Fluent in English (Writing skills, Speaking skills, Oral and reading comprehension)
  • Ability to portray professionalism and confidence to customers via phone and e-mail
  • Excellent stakeholder management
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
