Job Description

The Global Mobility Specialist will provide subject matter expertise and operational support on mobility and immigration matters to HR Business Partners and business stakeholders. As part of the Global Mobility team, the role will be responsible for ensuring seamless execution of mobility programs, maintaining compliance with immigration, tax, and policy requirements, and delivering an enhanced employee experience across the assignment lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Manage tax compliance for global employees: tracking assignee tax payments, managing tax equalization, collecting income data, transmitting payroll data to vendors, and verifying assignment data
  • Reconcile relocation benefits, review mobility reporting for Accounting, and manage applications for tax agreements
  • Assist with developing tax compliance strategies
  • Consult, advise and influence the business on appropriate policy application based on move drivers and cost estimates
  • Ensure governance and compliance of mobility policy, tax, payroll, and ongoing immigration requirements
  • Proactive case management for assignees throughout the international and domestic mobility assignment life cycle, including pre-assignment and repatriation
  • Administration of mobility policies, including international assignments, tax, immigration, and relocation
  • Track and report on all mobility moves related to costs, volumes, immigration expiry, and ongoing assignment support (in partnership with internal and external stakeholders)
  • Lead the year-end reporting process and foreign compensation collection in collaboration with Payroll and tax provider
  • Review and obtain approval for the timely processing of mobility-related invoices
  • Ensure the timely signing/posting of immigration documents (i.e., applications, LOI, BVL, LCA)
  • Review and validate Pre-Payroll data and transactions of International Assignees in Oracle
  • Ensures maintenance of mobility files and documentation
  • Leads mobility projects/assignments
  • Support with employee experience enhancements and operational process management
  • Partner with Global Mobility Leader to ensure efficiencies and compliance in line with HR strategies

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of human resources experience
  • 5+ years of global mobility experience including experience with expatriate income tax, or international payroll & tax compliance.
  • Experience with a tax accounting firm or multinational organization is beneficial
  • Critical thinking and qualitative/quantitative analytical skills
