Job Purpose
AkzoNobel is looking for an organised and detail-oriented Global Mobility Coordinator to join the Global Mobility Services team within the Global Rewards Team. In this entry-level role, you will support the day-to-day operations of the team, with a focus on billing administration, assignee cost recharge coordination with Finance HQ, mobility reporting, and providing first-line support to employees transferring internationally. Working closely with the Senior Global Mobility Specialist(s) and the Head of Total Rewards & Global Mobility Services, you will play an important role in ensuring accurate cost recharge and smooth and high-quality service delivery to employees relocating across the world.
Key Accountabilities
As the Global Mobility Coordinator, you will be responsible for billing administration and the coordination of assignee cost recharge activities with Finance HQ teams. You will process and track assignment-related costs, ensure accurate and timely billing records, and support the reconciliation of mobility expenditures in close collaboration with internal finance stakeholders.
You will prepare and maintain mobility reports, providing the team with accurate information on active assignments, cost trends, and compliance deadlines.
In your day-to-day activities, you will maintain assignee records and case files, process mobility-related documentation, and liaise with internal teams such as HR, Payroll, as well as external vendors. You will serve as the first point of contact for employees relocating internationally, providing clear and helpful responses and escalating complex matters to the Senior Global Mobility Specialist(s) where appropriate.
You will coordinate the start date for employees transferring internationally, working closely with the employee, HR Business Partners, and People Services teams to ensure a timely and well-organised transition. This includes aligning on key milestones, confirming readiness across all parties, and following up to resolve any outstanding actions ahead of the transfer date.
You will also support the tax equalization process by collecting and verifying employee data, coordinating with external tax vendors, tracking deadlines, and ensuring that employees receive timely and accurate information. This includes an organised overview of outstanding actions across the assignee portfolio.
Experience
To succeed in this role, you hold a bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Economics, or a related discipline, and have up to two years of experience in an HR, Finance, or coordination role. Prior exposure to Global Mobility or Reward is an advantage, though not a requirement — enthusiasm for the field and a willingness to learn are equally valued.
You are analytical and accurate, with strong numerical skills and comfort working with data and spreadsheets. You have a high level of attention to detail and are able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a structured and organised way. You communicate fluently in English, both in writing and verbally, and additional languages are considered an advantage. You are a team player with a proactive attitude, and your collaborative mindset enables you to work effectively with diverse international stakeholders.
