Project Context
As IT Asset Manager, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end lifecycle of all IT assets, ensuring strict governance and high data accuracy within the CMDB and ITSM systems. This role requires significant experience with ITAM tools, comprehensive reporting capabilities, and the ability to support audit requirements effectively. Furthermore, you will work closely with other departments to ensure that assets are used efficiently and effectively across the organization.
This is a senior position that requires strong analytical and communication skills, with at least significant experience in this domain as well as a deep understanding of the Manufacturing and IT domain.
Goals and Deliverables
The Asset Manager is expected to:
- Develop and maintain an asset management plan for the organization's assets.
- Ensure that all assets are properly maintained, repaired, and replaced as necessary.
- Manage and oversee the acquisition, disposal, and transfer of assets.
- Correctly update, analyze, and refresh the CMDB.
- Monitor and analyze asset performance, including utilization, maintenance costs, and downtime.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and policies related to asset management.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure that asset management practices are aligned with overall organizational goals.
- Provide regular reports and updates on asset management activities to senior management.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key vendors and suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective asset management.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices related to asset management.
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of ITAM practices and experience with ITSM tools.
- Exhibit strong analytical, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
