Job Description

Purpose

  • As Global CMMS Discipline Manager, you lead the governance, support, digitalization, and continuous improvement of IFS CMMS system, ensuring it is available, reliable, intuitive, and efficient for SBM's users.
  • This role bridges the gap between field operations and SBM's operational and contractual requirements, ensuring the CMMS is a tool that empowers users to work efficiently, make informed decisions and supports all stakeholders in leveraging the CMMS to its full potential.

Responsibilities

  • You establish and lead CMMS governance across SBM functions.
  • You coordinate the CMMS team to meet operational needs, including training, fleet support, and business priorities.
  • You act as the CMMS user champion, ensuring the system reflects how maintenance is performed in the field.
  • You improve continuously the CMMS based on feedback from technicians, planners, and engineers, as well as contractual and operational requirements.
  • You evaluate new CMMS developments with business stakeholders before implementation.
  • You maintain a clear, actionable roadmap of system developments and fixes.
  • You coordinate with functional lead IFS consultants and the digital team to enhance and simplify the current IFS solution and improve performance.
  • You drive digitalization of maintenance processes, making the CMMS more connected, mobile, and intelligent.
  • You pilot the integration of external tools (e.g., external systems, IoT, analytics platforms) in IFS to streamline workflows and reduce manual effort.
  • You promote automation and smart features that reduce administrative burden for field users.
  • You ensure technical integrity and consistency of maintenance data within the CMMS.
  • You monitor and analyze CMMS and external data to support fleet performance and decision-making.
  • You ensure all CMMS processes are properly documented and easily accessible.
  • You maintain up-to-date, approved documentation aligned with SBM standards.
  • You develop and manage the CMMS training program for fleet and shore base personnel.
  • You ensure training materials are approved, and available to all regions.
  • You provide support to end-users and super-users across the organization.
  • You work closely with maintenance teams and SBM functions to tailor CMMS features to their needs in respect of system consistency and efficiency.
  • You ensure the system supports real maintenance workflows, not just theoretical ones.
  • You collaborate with ITS, IFS consultants, and external vendors for system maintenance and integration.

Education

  • Engineering Degree Fluent in English (Portuguese is a plus)

Experience

  • At least 10 years of experience with CMMS systems for heavy industry (IFS is a plus, SAP PM, Maximo, etc.)
