Job purpose
The Global Business Excellence and Program Management Team is looking for an experienced and dedicated project manager to grow our team in India. The project manager will join our hybrid team of Business Excellence Hub India distributed across the Global Supply Chain, Performance and Program Management organization. As a team we are actively contributing to a successful transformation of a globally growing organization by adapting E2E processes to changing business models, industry patterns and customer needs.
The resource will be mainly responsible for driving selected cross-functional Projects, mainly in Supply Chain and Performance Management. Furthermore, experience in multiproduct supply chain management and understanding of supply planning process is added advantage.
Main Accountabilities
- Take over the lead in selected cross-functional Projects and Programs, mainly in Global Supply Chain and adjacent fields
- Actively contribute to a successful transformation of a globally growing organization by adapting E2E processes to changing business models, industry patterns and customer needs
- Follow project/program management methodologies and should be comfortable working on various project management tools
- Lay out required concepts and processes and translate them into milestones and actionable tasks in line with the overall project plan
- Collaborate closely with other global business functions like IT, Operations, Supply Chain and Finance in terms of cross-functional alignment on requirements, handshakes, procurement and limitations
- Managing multi product supply chain projects
- Support AI initiatives and projects across departments together with Analytics team
- Drive logistics and distribution cost saving initiative projects
- Build a strong network and trustful relationships on all organizational levels across ZEISS Vision Care

Job Specifications
- University degree, preferably in engineering, business administration or business informatics, paired with a dedication for E2E processes in either IT, Operations, Supply Chain Management or Finance
- A proven track-record of minimum 5 years of professional experience in abovementioned fields complemented by strong project management skills in a fast-paced environment, ideally gained in high-tech industries or consulting
- Experienced in establishing and implementing business excellence paired with a broad understanding for E2E supply chain processes, business requirements and their translation into IT language
- Hands-on experience on various project management tools and methodologies
- an entrepreneurial mindset and engaging personality with a strong conceptual thinking paired with hands-on mentality and the assertiveness to drive operational implementation
- strong communications skills including the ability to grasp complex situations turning them into easy-to-understand phrases
- A very good command in English, further languages are a plus
- Management of diverse global team
- Global Project Experience: Experience in interacting with overseas offshore companies is crucial, especially in global projects
- Fair understanding of Quality / Regulatory topics
