What You'll Do

BCG is transforming Learning@BCG with an ambitious agenda to expand and elevate how our people learn, grow, and develop across all talent groups. In this role, in the near term, you will drive the L&D agenda for our Design Studios (DS) population, ensuring our creative talent is equipped with the capabilities needed to meet current and emerging business priorities.

As a Learner Portfolio Senior Manager, you will lead the end-to-end L&D cycle, including, needs analysis, curriculum design, delivery, and impact measurement - while partnering with senior creative stakeholders to shape and execute a coherent, future-ready learning strategy.

Design Studios is BCG's in-house creative team - a multidisciplinary global group of storytellers, designers, and strategists dedicated to creating premium content for consulting teams. Our role is to turn insights into compelling narratives that elevate understanding and impact across BCG.

Over time, the portfolio of supported functions may evolve, but the focus will remain on enabling the successful execution of our people and capability strategies-driving upskilling, cross-skilling, and readiness for future business priorities

You will:

Identify Learning & Development Needs

  • Identify learning needs and priorities through data analysis, stakeholder insights, and ongoing capability assessments.
  • Build trusted advisor relationships with senior leadership, HRBPs, and business leaders to ensure learning priorities reflect the populations talent and business strategy.
  • Maintain deep understanding of your learner groups, roles, workflows, and creative contexts across regions.

Define & Design the Learning Curriculum

  • Design and evolve learning curricula across geographies and cohorts, ensuring alignment with the strategic priorities and capability needs.
  • Collaborate with SMEs and Leaders to curate and design high-impact learning experiences, including content in emerging areas (e.g., GenAI, leadership, client excellence).
  • Shape program architecture, evaluate content quality, and tailor materials to ensure relevance for real-world design practice.

Deliver the Curriculum & Programs

  • Coordinate end-to-end delivery of learning programs, including logistics, communications, and learner experience, in partnership with Shared Services.

Use Data & Analytics to Drive Insight & Impact

  • Define and track learning success metrics to evaluate program effectiveness, learner progress, and overall impact.
  • Use learner analytics and feedback to inform continuous curriculum improvement and demonstrate ROI.

Strengthen Engagement & Visibility

  • Develop and enhance learning platforms and communication frameworks (Cornerstone, SharePoint, whiteboards, internal campaigns) to improve visibility, engagement, and integration with BCG-wide L&D initiatives.
  • Lead communication and engagement efforts to ensure strong awareness and adoption of learning offerings.

Think Beyond DS - Team Across BST Learner Portfolio

You will also be required to think beyond your assigned learner group, teaming with the global BST Learner Portfolio team to:

  • Identify and deliver against shared priorities across the BST learner population.
  • Drive alignment in learning approaches to unlock efficiency and scale.
  • Support cross-pollination of ideas, best practices, and innovations across functions and regions.
  • Collaborate on collective problem-solving to elevate the impact of learning across all BST talent groups.


What You'll Bring

  • Minimum 8-10 years of applicable work experience in a global, matrix organization. Including experience working within the Design Industry
  • Multi-year experience developing, designing, and managing the roll-out of learning programs across multiple geographies.
  • Academic degree, with a concentration in design and/or learning & development, talent management, leadership development, or organizational development preferred.
  • Experience with digital learning platforms and learning technologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to use metrics and analytics to inform decisions.
  • Experience with change management or organizational development.
  • Expert coaching or facilitation skills


Who You'll Work With

Day-to-day, you will work closely with the DS Senior Leadership Team, DS Managing Team, Creative Leaders, HRBPs, and SMEs to identify learning needs and deliver a curriculum that supports DS's capability and business priorities.

You will also collaborate with colleagues in L&D across business units, CoEs, and Shared Services teams, teaming closely to ensure integration and alignment with BCG's broader learning agenda.

  • Deep understanding of the design industry and creative workflows, enabling strong connection to learner contexts
  • Active engagement with the design field, staying current with trends and contributing fresh, innovative perspectives aligned with DS strategic priorities.
  • Ability to shape program architecture, evaluate content quality, and tailor materials for creative practitioners.

The scope of supported functions may expand or shift over time in line with business priorities and therefore it is important that you are adaptable, with a strong foundation in L&D, and able to demonstrate:

  • Proven capability to support scalable learning delivery, including train-the-trainer models.
  • Comfort navigating ambiguity in a complex, fast-moving creative environment.
  • Acting as a learning business partner to senior creative stakeholders, building credibility and trust.
  • Translating business and creative strategy into targeted learning solutions that are relevant, prioritized, and built to land impact.
  • Bringing curiosity and creativity to your work, staying abreast of cutting-edge thinking in both the L&D and industry fields.
  • Applying data and insights to measure effectiveness, identify skill gaps, and inform decision-making.
  • Leading complex, multi-stakeholder projects in a global matrix environment.
  • Working through ambiguity and flexing between strategic thinking and hands-on execution.
  • Organizing, coordinating, and managing learning programs with strong attention to detail.
  • Influencing mindsets and helping embed continuous learning into ways of working.
