Your Impact

In this role, you'll provide expert technical support for our GIS mapping applications, troubleshoot issues, and empower users to make the most of our geospatial tools.

Your Role Will Include:

  • Providing timely technical support to GIS mapping application users via phone, email, or ticketing systems.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving issues related to GIS software, data layers, and functionality.
  • Conducting training sessions and workshops on GIS features, best practices, and data management.
  • Creating and maintaining user guides, FAQs, and technical documentation for self-service support.
  • Assisting in data acquisition, processing, and integration while ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
  • Configuring GIS mapping applications and developing custom scripts, tools, and workflows for enhanced functionality.
  • Testing and validating GIS software updates, patches, and enhancements.
  • Collaborating with GIS developers, analysts, and project managers to deliver solutions.
  • Gathering feedback from users to recommend improvements and enhance GIS services.
  • Staying updated on GIS trends, technologies, and best practices to continuously enhance support capabilities.
  • Managing GIS services for rider tracking solutions and scaling rollouts with internal and external partners.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Geography, GIS, Computer Science, or related field (Master's is a plus).
  • 5+ years of experience providing technical support for GIS mapping applications.
  • Strong understanding of GIS principles, spatial analysis, and mapping concepts.
  • Proficiency with GIS software (ArcGIS, QGIS, or similar).
  • Familiarity with geospatial data formats (shapefiles, GeoJSON, KML) and coordinate systems.
  • Excellent communication skills to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail for troubleshooting complex issues.
  • Experience with Python or JavaScript scripting for GIS automation/customization is a plus.
  • Knowledge of web mapping technologies (Leaflet, OpenLayers) and GIS server platforms (ArcGIS Server, GeoServer) is preferred.
  • Customer-focused approach with a commitment to exceptional service delivery.
